Oh, To Dream

Recently I had a conversation regarding dreams. Well, actually, I seem to have these often. I am a firm believer in dreams. First, to clarify, I am talking about the dreams people have while sleeping, not the dreams, aspirations and goals for out lives

Feel The Aroma

Of late, I have seen many posts on Facebook, especially in various Facebook groups, about using aromatherapy. There are so many that do not believe in aromatherapy as their religion does not support it. However, aromatherapy is real and very beneficial.
I was recently asked in one of these groups what scents I use to help me

Attitude Of Gratitude

As the music wafts the air this morning, it mixes and mingles till it reaches my inner sanctum. I thank the light, which has just come on to enable me to read from the book in my hands. The music swells steadily. My hearing seems to be diminishing with each passing day

It’s the end of the year as we know it…

Hope that all’s well with everyone. Looking back on the past year, it’s been great to see a lot of new readers and followers. In addition to the thanks I owe to the circle of friends and family who followed me from the start, I’d like to welcome all my new friends, even if we’ve never met.

Pub Crawling & Other Pastimes

Got an invitation a while back for a 12 Pubs of Christmas Crawl. While I appreciated the thought, my mind instantly started calculating the locations of a dozen locally-owned coffee shops that I’d prefer, along with the conversation that goes along with drink number whatever. While I think I’ve aged out of the 12 Pubs Crawl, it doesn’t mean that I don’t stop in for an occasional pint or more.
I was sitting at the bar in a nearby pub one night and a couple of young Americans came in

Teach Me To Read

I continue to research information regarding the Great Library of Alexandria for a novel I am writing. As I read books to educate myself, my mind wanders to television programs and movies I have seen over the years, which are set in prehistoric times. We will so often set these stories to parallel our own culture. They dress, go to work, have homes resembling the way we live today, etc
